WELCOME AGAIN TO STUDENTS OF 5th. years, 6th. year, special courses

Hello! I hate to make profiles but I have to do it, because the teacher is angry!!!
My name´s Sofía Turino and I´m seventeen... I live in San Vicente, Santa Fe.
I don´t like any subjectct of the school, I only like Law, Culture and Economics because we discuss reality situations of life... Also P.E. only when we play volleyball or handball.
At the weekends I like to be with my friends and go out... I love going to "Daser Junior" on Saturday, it´s very funny...
I like very very very much animals... but I only have two Dálmatas Dog: "Lola" y "Arón"; and I have a tortoise "Dora", I had had another "Anita" but it had lost, I´m really sad because of that... When I was younger I had fishes, but they´d died. My favourites animal are dolphins and zebras.
In my free time I listen to music (good music), I read or watch Tv; my favourite program is "Duro de Domar", I see it always at 19 when I arrive home, because I go out of the school at that hour.
I think I said enough, I hope you like it teacher.

Students make descriptions of different kinds of animals

The ACI is a comfortable and quite modern building.

It´s situated on the corner of Liniers and Buenos Aires streets and It´s started to work in 1973 in Asociacion Presidente Sarmiento.

Then It moved to family´s houses. Finally the ACI has been situated in this building since 1885.

The walls of the building are made of smooth white stones.In addition on one of the front entrance leads to a big hall which connects to the library.Here, there is a boockcase whit material for teaches and students.Next to It there is a desk where the Director or teachers welcome parents as well as students.Moreover the hall sometimes becomes a workshop, a classroom,a meeting room and a place where students act.On the left of this hall there are two classrooms.In the first one little children learn English playing and singing songs with different teachers.The other room is usually for teenagers and adults.It has got a tv, headphones and a lot of videos and films.Both classrooms are painted yellow and they are crowded with pictures, maps and some boockshelves.At the back there is a computer room where students can practise in different webs and visit the ACI blog.

As we see It, this institute is a small building.However,It has got many facilities.Personally speaking we think the English languaje is necesary for our future...

This is the Adult Team in the ACI (the oldest)...In the picture are Sandra, Gisela, Romina, Mauricio and "The Teacher" of course. But this day to be missing ours partners Pato, Daniela and Santi...They will be in the next picture!

Hi! my name is Franco. I´m 16 years old and I started inglish in 2004. I was born in Rafaela, Santa Fe, but i have live in San Vicente for my live.

I like playing basketball, rugby, football and my favourite groups of music are trulala and banda xxi, My hobby is playing computer games...

My favourite tv program are Showmach and "por amor a vos" but i don´t like a program the news. I get on well wih my family and friends... of corse!.

I can´t live without my computer.

Hello everybody! I´d like to introduce myselft. I know that here there are many acquaintance people to me, whom know me, but is possible that you don´t know what I am doing or why I have to learn English.
So, I´m Mauricio Aragno. I´m very young, I´m only 27 years old... I´m pharmacist. I was living for two years in Ushuaia (The city called: “The end of the world”).Nowadays, I´m working in San Vicente in the UOM´s pharmacy, but I´m leaving soon (I hope!) because I´m a member of “Doctor Without Borders” an International Medical Humanitarian Organization and I just have a mission. I´m going to work in Zambia (Africa), for that, I have to learn English. I need to speak very well because will be my only comunication form and my tool of work.

My hobbies and interests are reading,swimming and meeting people so I love going out whit Carla, Andre and Lala (my friends).

When I have a free time go to the daddy ´s farmer and I ride the horses and play whit my dogs Rocco and Bronco.I like very much animals.

My Name´s Santiago, I was born in Córdoba but I´ve lived in San Vicente since 1984.
Actualy I´m working in the construction and these kind of works.
I have a child her name is Francesca, she has two years old and is a very naugty girl. In the evening France assist to kindergarden and I can work in peace because I rarely rest.
When I have some free time use to ride and them, if I have enough energy, read some magazines.
I was learning english since one year ago because i need have another tool to improve my life.
I know for sure that language is the present and the future!...

I´m Romina, I am 24 years old and I live in this town. I was born in San Jorge at 19th December of 1983. I study Science in Politics in Rosario.
I have a boyfriend called Leandro and I think that we will get married the next year. Leandro lives in San Vicente too. But he works in Rafaela.
I live with my parents. I get on with them well, but sometimes we argue.
I read and study very hardly, Leo has much work and we have to do the housework, in his house, on Saturday.
I don´t have much free time, but when I have the change I enjoy studing english and italian language, going to gym, walking with my mother and I enjoy doing theatre very much. I used to sing so bad in a room of my house, but now I don´t do it.
I am a girl very busy and I am tired. But I´m what I am.
I´m learning english because I need to improve this language. And I think that learn languages is interesting for my future job. My speaking isn´t OK, so I am here.

WELCOME TO THE BLOG: Write a story about an incident .
You can choose from the Natural Phenomena we´ve worked in class.

6th year Adults

Let´s write about a holiday in a place we´ve been to (or imagine one). Students make comments guessing the name of the place. Here goes my example, Can you guess?

It´s January here, so it´s a very cold and grey day. However, I´m enjoying the tour in a boat with two coleagues and looking at the typical buildings of this island which date from five hundred years ago.

As it comes nearer, we can get a better view of the city and watch the huge Saint Marcus Cathedral which is one of the best examples of baroque architecture. Now, we are sailing across the big canal from where we can appreciate the fascinating sights, though my favourite view is the romantic "Bridge of Sighs".

According to a legend, this bridge is so called because the desperate prisioners sighed when they crossed it and looked at the city for the last time before they were sentenced to death. However, lovers also sigh when they sail under it. Personally, I think the most romantic moment is the ride on the gondola while the gondolier sings a loving song and guides the tour as well.

On the other hand, when you take one of these rides you smell the humidity and watch how water can also ruin the old houses.
Finally, we get to land and walk in the main square surrounded by historical buildings ,typical cafeterías, shops sellings souvenirs, photographers, and tourists from all parts of the world that move among the flight of hundreds of pigeons.
